PROTOCOL SIGNED BETWEEN Bursa Technical University (BTU) FACULTY OF FORESTRY WITH INEGOL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (ICCI)
Bursa Technical University Forest Industry Engineering students will do an internship in the business of furniture in Inegöl for 16 weeks.
A protocol signed between Inegöl Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and Bursa Technical University (BTU) Faculty of Forestry. This protocol is an important step for university-industry collaboration and contribute greatly to the furniture industry in Inegöl. ICCI President Metin Anıl said they are trying to smooth the path for Inegöl furniture industry. ICCI President expressed their desire to solve problem on finding skilled workers in the furniture industry and said, "According to the protocol we signed, in their last year of their graduation the students from Forest Industry Engineering faculty will do their internships in companies in the wood and furniture sector in Inegol ". Anıl said social security costs of engineering students during 16 weeks of internship will be paid by BTU. Anıl said with the signed protocol Inegol furniture companies will have a fine prospect for the future and students of Forest Industry Engineering would learn situation and requirements of the industry and market before graduation. Anil reminds that they still conduct some joint work with Uludag University (UU) Business Faculty and underlines this kind of joint programs make it closer the business world and universities.
