Dear students,
Landscape architecture continues to take decisive steps on the path it started as a professional field in the early 1900s.
The department started to accept students in Bursa in 2017-2018, an almost open laboratory where the relationship between the city and nature can be best understood.
As students enrolled in our department, you embark on a unique journey. You will receive education at a university/department with the infrastructure that comes with being a technical university. But what sets this experience apart is the opportunity to be part of the first implementation of the Vocational Education Program in Business (IMEP) model in Turkey, right here in an institution that provides landscape architecture education.
IMEP is not just a model, it's a transformative experience. It offers our students in the seventh semester of the education plan, designed in collaboration with the relevant sector outside the university for a semester and carried out in the workplace. This means during the seventh semester, you will be applying the basic academic knowledge and concepts learned in the field. You will be employed by a business/institution related to the landscape architecture sector, which Bursa Technical University has approved. For those who successfully complete the eighth semester, this means you are a graduate who can meet the sector's needs and is a priority in employment.
As a field of architecture, landscape architecture has significant national and global responsibilities in protecting/improving/shaping the built and natural environment. On behalf of our department, we would like to thank you for taking this first step by joining us to fulfill these responsibilities and welcome you to our ranks.
